Last year, I lost my PhD supervisor, a brilliant professor, to stomach cancer. In his final days, he endured unimaginable suffering-his body swollen with ascites, pain ripping through him, and his mind clouded by elevated bilirubin levels. Eventually, the disease claimed him. And now, just this morning at 2:00 AM, my younger brother, who had just celebrated his 32nd birthday a mere 10 days ago, succumbed to liver cancer, facing the same agonizing symptoms. It feels like I'm reliving last year's nightmare all over again. This disease is beyond cruel; it doesn’t just ravage the person it invades but leaves deep, lasting scars and trauma on those who love them. I’m in the midst of writing my PhD thesis, but right now, I’m completely lost-I can't even think straight anymore.

Watching this yet again. Unfortunately my husband has been told he likely has sarcoma and we now just have to find out what stage. We miss Dan lots and I had followed him for a long time leading up to his sad death. Always think of you Dan.

If I was in this spot I would go to places where I would get happiness or piece . For me it’s Japan and touring around the country on the bullet train . We all need to complete at least one or two things on our bucket list before we die . We think this day will never come but it does for all of us .

Going threw this right now and this journey is one of the worst things that can happen to a living creature i no longer believe in god. Anyone reading this live your life to the fullest while you can. I never thought anything like this would happen to me ever in my life but it did. No human being is excempt from this magnitude of fate. Cherish your health and your loves ones health because one day you may have to walk this path & if hell is real it has nothing on terminal illness i promise you.
